Special Crochet Terms:

ps = puff stitch

BLO = back loop only

tc = triple crochet

Head: In white
1. In a magic circle, sc 6
2. (ps inc)*6 - 12
3. (ps, ps inc)*6 - 18
4. (2 ps, ps inc)*6 - 24
5-9. ps around - 24
10. (2 ps, ps dec)*6 - 18
11. (ps, ps dec)*6 - 12
12. ps dec around - 6

Finish off leaving a long tail.

Ear:
1. In magic circle, sc 4
2. (sc, inc)*2 - 6
3. sc around - 6
4. (2 sc, inc)*2 - 8
5. (3 sc in 1st st, 1 sc in each of the next 3 st)*2 - 12
6. sc around - 12
7. Inc, sc, inc, 3 sc, inc, sc, inc, 3 sc - 16
8. 2 sc, inc, 7 sc, inc, 5 sc - 18
9-11 - sc around - 18
12 - 2 sc, 2 dec, 5 sc, 2 dec, 3 sc - 14
13. sc around - 14
14. sc, dc3tog, 4 sc, dc3tog, 3 sc - 10

Finish off and attach to head.

Embroider face.

Body: Using both white and blue.
In white
1. In a magic circle, sc 6
2. (sc, sc inc)*6 - 12
3. (2 sc, sc inc)*6 - 18
4-5. ps around - 18
After round 5 I ended up sewing the head onto the neck (attaching it between round 3 and 4).
Finish off white
In blue
6. (2 ps, ps inc)*8 - 32
7. (3 ps, ps inc)*8 - 40

Continue the pattern, increasing one ps each row ((4 ps, ps inc)*8, (5 ps, ps inc)*8, etc...).

I continued until round 17, but you could make it as large or small as you want.

When it is the desired length, finish with the border.

Border: In blue

(hdc, tc, hdc) in first stitch, sc in next stitch. Repeat around.
