Newborn Baby Booties Soles Crochet Pattern

Here is my pattern for baby booties soles.

The soles are about .25” longer than the finished shoe.

Size 3 DK yarn & 3.5mm hook

Newborn: (3.5” long, 1.75” wide finished shoe)

Ch 13

1: hdc in 3rd ch from hook, then hdc in each of next 9 st. 6 hdc in last st. Working on the opposite side of the chain, hdc in next 9 st, 5 hdc in last st, join with sl st to 1st hdc. (30)

(Should measure barely over 2.5”& 5/8” wide)

2: sl st in next st, ch 1, beginning in same st, 9 hdc, 2 hdc in each of the next 6 st, 9 hdc, 2 hdc in each of the next 6 st, join to 1st hdc with sl st. (42)

(Barely over 3” long & 1” wide)

3: *From now on, the 1st stitch of each round will be in the same stitch as the (sl st, ch 1).*

Ch 1, 9 hdc, (2 hdc, 1 hdc in next st)*3, (1 hdc, 2 hdc in next st)*3, 9 hdc, (2 hdc, 1 hdc in next st)*3, (1 hdc, 2 hdc in next st)*3, join with sl st. (54) (barely over 3.5” long & 1.5” wide)

4: ch 1, BLO sc around. (54) (3.75” long & 1 7/8-2” wide)

Either finish off or continue top of the shoe with the desired pattern.
